Davis family receives keys to there brand new home

OCONOMOWOC, Wis. - June 4, 2018 - PRLog -- U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Mario "Joe" Davis was handed the keys to his new mortgage-free home during an Operation FINALLY HOME dedication ceremony held on June 2^nd in Waukesha.

The ceremony marked the fourth home dedication in Wisconsin. The home was the third Belman Homes built for the organization.

Davis felt a calling to serve following the September 11^th attacks. He served in three deployments and medically retired after 11 years of service. After being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease at just 28 years old, which doctor's believe was a direct result of the traumatic brain injuries he endured. Davis received numerous medals and commendations during his time in the Army, including the Combat Infantryman Badge and Army Commendation Medal.

Belman Homes broke ground on June 24^th, 2017 on a lot large enough to accommodate Davis' combat-related injury.  In October, the public was invited to write "Notes of Love" on the studs of the home before drywall was installed.
