June brings the Mother Road to the Whistle Stop Gallery's State Street Station
The Gallery is pleased to present an award-winning sculpture as one of the attractions of "66", our June art show. A remarkable, never before seen photo essay will also be on display, as well as a uniquely patriotic photographic sculpture. Additionally, artwork from nearby Route 66 locales will be seen. Our Proprietor will be on hand during each of the scheduled show dates for informal discussion on the progress of 'plein air' artwork, which will be available for viewing. Jo Allen Publishing, LLC has also agreed to a special promotion, allowing the Whistle Stop Gallery to offer six copies of "66: Impressions and Reflections"
In addition to hosting a Mother Road themed art show, the Gallery's State Street Station (at 1938 State Street in Granite City, Illinois) is not far from a portion of that legendary historic cross-country link.
"66" will be open to the public Sundays in June from 1:30 to 3:30 pm local time, as well as a special presentation date on the 14th from 3:30 to 5:30 pm. The Whistle Stop Gallery – State Street Station provides a relaxed atmosphere for stopping by for a quick look, serious artwork acquisition, or anything in between.
