BEDMINSTER, N.J. - May 29, 2018 - PRLog -- The intersection of food and real estate brought 50 developers, investors, food entrepreneurs and advocates, and other real estate professionals together in May for a ULI NNJ (https://nnj.uli.org/) event at the historic 90 Acres Farm in Peapack-Gladstone. "Cultivating Development: Sowing the Seeds for Innovation" featured an examination of trends and related best practices tied to the newest technologies and incentives being employed by the public and private sectors to maximize food production while serving rural and urban communities alike.

"The local food movement, a deep commitment to preserving agriculture in New Jersey and innovations that enhance growing make this an exciting time for farming in the Garden State," noted ULI NNJ District Chairperson Brian Whitmer, an executive director and member of Cushman & Wakefield's (http://www.cushmanwakefield.com/)East Rutherford, N.J, investment sales team. "Many additional factors – including a growing emphasis on placemaking and the expansion of vertical farming – means that real estate is reaping the benefits as well."

Event participants enjoyed a behind-the-scenes walking tour of 90 Acres' 12-acre sustainable farm and a chef's table three-course dinner in the farm's world-class restaurant.
