RESTON, Va. - May 29, 2018 - PRLog -- Today, John Marshall Bank announced the addition of James Estep to its team of banking leaders. A native of Fairfax City, Estep has over 14 years of banking experience, most of which was with Cardinal Bank.  He joins John Marshall Bank's Reston office as Senior Vice-President / Fairfax Regional Executive. In his capacity as regional executive, Estep will be responsible for lending and servicing loans.  He will continue to build John Marshall's presence in Fairfax.

"James is another great addition to our growing pool of talent" said John R. Maxwell, John Marshall Bank's Executive Chairman of the Board.  "We are thrilled to have him on our team.  James is extremely adept handling loans for businesses, commercial real estate, lines of credit and equipment loans," explained Maxwell.

Estep's educational accomplishments include the Graduate School of Banking at LSU; the Virginia Bankers Association School of Bank Management, graduating with honors for the highest GPA; and Virginia Tech for his undergraduate degree.  Estep pays back to his local community as a Certified EMT, actively involved with several local Fire & Rescue Squads.  Estep is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Fairfax.  Previously, Estep served on the board of directors for the Fairfax Kiwanis Club, the Advisory Board to the Virginia Tech MBA program and co-chaired the Future Fund at the Northern Virginia Community Foundation.

"John Marshall Bank is a true community bank, which makes me feel very much at home. There are fewer community banks in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, and joining this tremendous organization with its established talented lending team allows me to be the banker I have always been – one dedicated to serving the needs of local businesses," said Estep.

The ability to attract top talent like James Estep is a leading factor in John Marshall Bank's success and its commitment to serving businesses and consumers in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area.  The company has banking centers in Reston, Alexandria, Arlington, Leesburg, Rockville, Washington, D.C., and a seventh Tysons Corner branch scheduled to open late summer 2018. The Bank is headquartered in Reston.

John Marshall Bank first opened to the public in Falls Church, Virginia in May 2006. Since that time, the bank has become one of the areas most respected, fastest growing and well-capitalized banks.
