The Caribbean American Cultural Arts Foundation Hosts a Successful Welcome Reception

ATLANTA - May 25, 2018 - PRLog -- The Caribbean American Cultural Arts Foundation (CACAF) hosted a dynamic welcome reception at the Microsoft Store inside Lenox Mall in Buckhead Thursday night. The gathering filled with cultural exchange, delightful food and music was completed with a Caribbean flare. The event served as opening festivities ahead of next month's Captains of Industry gala at the Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta on June 23, 2018. Chairman & Founder of CACAF, Michael Thomas, called the reception a great success. Thomas said, "Our upcoming gala will celebrate six giants of industry and countless other grassroots organizations that have been quietly and steadfastly meeting the needs of those impacted by last year's deadly hurricane season. We know Thursday evening was a step in the right direction."

The welcome reception included digital integrations powered by Microsoft and delicious Caribbean refreshments provided by Golden Krust Caribbean Bakery. Everyone gathered to support a worthy cause, hurricane recovery efforts in the Caribbean and educational mentorship programs for deserving young people. "Last night was not only uplifting, it was a truly humbling experience. It solidified our common goal to help rebuild and enrich the lives of our brothers and sisters in the Caribbean," says Renee Knorr, Director of Production, CACAF. Honoree, Yvette Thomas-Henry, General Manager of the Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta, echoed the sentiment of the evening, she told the audience that this is a moment to break ceilings and help those who need support.

Knorr said, "Our welcome reception just energized us even more to do the work necessary to make next month an amazing affair. We look forward to an electrifying evening on June 23^rd." The Captains of Industry gala will feature a carnival-style welcome that will include stilt performers, steel drummers and all the pageantry and delicacies of the Caribbean. Reggae Star, Pressure and Soca & Reggae Performer, Styleon Garvey will provide live performances. The evening will be hosted by Majic 107.5 Radio Personality, Chubb Rock.

The Caribbean American Cultural Arts Foundation was founded in 2016 by Michael Thomas.
