Located inside 20/20 Optometry of Silicon Valley at 2555 North First Street in San Jose, Dr. Lee recently launched 20/20 Dry Eye Spa, which helps patients suffering from Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD), one of the leading causes of dry eyes. The treatments bring relief and leave them feeling rejuvenated.
Led by Dr. Lee, who has over 20 years of experience in the field of optometry and a leader in the area of dry eye treatments, 20/20 Dry Eye Spa offers a variety of services in a boutique environment.
"We are proud to bring a new treatment for dry eye syndrome to San Jose. I too suffered from dry eye syndrome, so I know what first hand my patients are going through," said Dr. Lee, a graduate of UC Berkeley Optometry School. "MGD is the most common cause of dry eyes, but even more so in the Bay Area with the environment and computer devices we use everyday."
Some of the most common symptoms of MGD include:
· Digital Eye Strain
· Dry Eye Syndrome
· Red Eyes
· Irritated Eyes
The staff at 20/20 Dry Eye Spa uses MiBo Thermoflo, a new technology that helps patients who suffer from dry eye syndrome because of blocked meibomian glands.
"Dr. Lee has a unique boutique dry eye spa because of her focus on treating dry eye. She also suffered from dry eye disease, so she has a personal and passionate journey that gave her experience through trial and error to heal her own eyes," said Arnold Flores, Managing Director Dry Eye Guys and creator of the Dry Eye Spa, which provide devices used in the treatment of MGD.
What also makes 20/20 Dry Eye Spa unique is that patients can get personalized treatment in a warm and friendly environment, but they can also perform maintenance on their own eyes between appointments at home using products provided by Dr. Lee and her staff.
"Dr. Lee and her staff at 20/20 Dry Eye Spa provide some of the most advanced and effective eye care for their patients by pioneering new treatment protocols. Dr. Lee's passion for her specialty is reflected in her amazing clinical skills and knowledge," said Dr. Peter Pham, CEO of Zocular, an ophthalmic and skin care firm which provides products which can be used in the office and at home in the treatment of dry eye syndrome.
