WORCESTER, U.K. - May 21, 2018 - PRLog -- A group of chartered accountants recently held a charity dinner in aid of Midlands Air Ambulance Charity. The event was organised by the Worcestershire arm of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and was attended by 160 accountants from around the region. Overall, £1,100 was raised for the charity.

ICAEW Worcestershire Chairman Ben Powell organised the dinner which had dancers, magicians and Worcestershire based television personality, Philip Serrell as guest speaker. Mr Powell, who is also a director of local accountancy firm Ballards LLP said "It was a fantastic evening which was made all the better by being able to raise money for such a worthy charity".

Midlands Air Ambulance Charity serves the communities of six Midlands counties, the largest air ambulance operating region in the UK. Since its launch in 1991, it has responded to over 50,000 missions which cost on average £2,500 per mission. Michelle McCracken, fundraising executive for the charity, said "Midlands Air Ambulance Charity receives no Government or National Lottery funding and relies on the generosity of events such as these. In excess of £9 million is needed each year to keep the three air ambulances operational, so we are grateful to any and all fundraising events."
