LAKE MILLS, Wis. - May 17, 2018 - PRLog -- Rebel Press (formerly Next Century Publishing) is pleased to announce the new book, "Aunt Laura's Attic" written by Lahna Anhalt. Check it out on GoRead today!

Did you know that there was a third member of the Wright Brothers Team, a sibling, without whose assistance manned flight might not have gotten off the ground?  Are you curious to find out more interesting stories behind people who shaped our history?

Who was the son of a run-away slave? Who became Valedictorian of Rutgers University in 1919, received fifteen letters in four different sports, conversed in twenty languages and dialects, became a lawyer passing the New York Bar, but instead chose to follow his heart into a totally different career? Who was the highest paid woman reporter for the New York World under owner and editor Joseph Pulitzer? This was a second career begun later in life after being a highly successful and innovative business woman.  Which non-elected person held the highest political and social clout in Washington D.C. for over fifty years during the first half of the twentieth century? She turned down the nomination for Vice President of the United States from a major political party, shortly after women achieved the right to vote. Who invented action photography and was the first photojournalist? Hint, it was not Kodak or Polaroid.

Aunt Laura's Attic illustrates how history might have been written quite differently if not for the all-but-forgotten famous people that no one has heard of.

About the Author:

Lahna Anhalt grew up in a family of traveling Christian musicians. With an adventurous childhood, adult life became far more routine. Obtaining Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Education from the University of Wisconsin, a teaching career followed. She has taught grades K-8, in a migrant school, taught graduate summer classes, published articles in professional magazines, administered reading and gifted programs, and performed with a Chamber Orchestra, all while she and her husband raised six children and restored an 1870s farm home.
