Follow on Google News | Commercial Aircraft Mro Market Set To Grow To $104.6 Bn By 2027By: Visiongain Visiongain (http://www.visiongain.com/) Aviation safety regulators, as well as OEMs, state that airframes, engines and components are required to undergo scheduled maintenance that includes detailed inspection, maintenance, preventive maintenance, repair and replacement of parts, which require aircraft to be removed from service for a pre-determined period of time. Such requirements entail the strip down of an airframe where each component is inspected thoroughly. Parts are replaced and re-assembled prior to testing before the aircraft is re-certified as airworthy and re-enters service to complete another cycle of flight hours before the next scheduled inspection is due. Removal, inspection and replacement of parts are routine to coincide with the lifecycle process and regulatory and OEM technical guidelines. Aircraft can also be removed from service in the event of an unscheduled maintenance event if a component has experienced a failure that jeopardises the safe operation and well-being of passengers and crew.
