The American Health Council Physician Board Welcomes Marvin Faulkner, DO, BA

NEW YORK - May 15, 2018 - PRLog -- The American Health Council welcomes Marvin Faulkner, DO, BA to its Board of Physicians for his outstanding contributions to the medical field.  As a pain physician at Minimally Invasive Surgical Hospital in Kansas City, Mo., Dr. Faulkner ensures that each patient receives high-quality care. Since taking on the role of pain physician three years ago, he has provided knowledgeable input in pain management. With 32 years of experience in the healthcare industry, Dr. Faulkner is an invaluable medical expert.

Establishing faith as a solid foundation for his lifestyle, Dr. Faulkner believes that God granted him the ability to satisfy his purpose: to help others in need. Dr. Faulkner decided to fulfill his desire to aid as many people as possible by pursuing a career in medicine. After earning a bachelor's degree from the University of Tennessee in 1978, he enrolled at Andrew Taylor Still University's Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Mo. After earning a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree in 1985, Dr. Faulkner immersed himself into the healthcare industry to fulfill his mission.

At Minimally Invasive Surgical Hospital, Dr. Faulkner convenes with patients and learns their medical and family history to ensure that he can efficiently administer the help they need. After examining his patients, he determines what makes them more functional and bases his procedures on their results. With over 20 years in pain management, Dr. Faulkner is an asset to the medical field. He is board-certified in anesthesia and pain management, and holds multiple licenses in Texas, California, Montana, Idaho, Kansas, and Missouri. His comprehensive knowledge in pain medicine led him to serve as an associate professor at the University of Texas's Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.

A successful physician, Dr. Faulkner has garnered several honors and accolades throughout his impressive career. He received a plaque of appreciation from the John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas for his support in training and educating students in the hospital's pain fellowship program. To continue to evolve in his field — and remain connected to frequent breakthroughs — he is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American Medical Association and the Missouri Osteopathic Association.

Among an impressive repertoire of professional
accomplishments, Dr. Faulkner is proud of raising his three children Taylor, Ali and Gentry, each one whom he considers a great gift from God. He is a proud veteran as he served in the U.S. Army as active duty for eight years and inactive for 12. He was a Golden Gloves Amateur Boxing champion and enjoys reading and writing literature in his free time. He published a collection of short stories, "Days Gone By," and will publish a second piece, "Letters to God," later this year. Additionally, he wrote and produced a screenplay, "Between Heaven and Hell" in 2008. With a strong work ethic at hand, Dr. Faulkner attributes his success to his faith. He plans to continue to craft books and deliver speeches to educate others about his expertise.
