Follow on Google News | 49ers Partner With Bay Area Nonprofit 10 Books A Home for Educational EventThe early education nonprofit behind the Intrinsic Learning Motivation (ILM) theory is teaming up with the 49ers to host a community event at Levi's Stadium in June.
By: 10 Books A Home An afternoon of fun is planned with the 49ers Museum providing learning platforms that connect, inspire, and engage students through relevant content, interactive explorations, group/peer collaboration, application of skills learned and student reflection. 10BH volunteers will be leading various activity stations that include arts and crafts, making a 3D football, designing player uniforms, a building station where they can construct a football field using blocks and K'NEX, as well as a 20 yard dash so kids can get a feel for what it's like to be a star athlete. This event comes on the backend of 10BH's collaboration with 49ers rookie Solomon Thomas. About 10 Books A Home 10 Books A Home (10BH) is a home tutoring nonprofit founded in 2009 for high-poverty preschoolers and their parents in the Ravenswood City School District in East Palo Alto and Easy Menlo Park. Learners receive two years of fully customized home tutoring from age 3 until they enter kindergarten with parents participating in and between every lesson. 10BH tracks their academic achievement to determine that its mission to "prevent the achievement gap" is being delivered, meaning children enter grade school at or above grade level.
