"Behind the Scenes: A Collection of Short Stories"
Explore African Hardships in 10 Insightful Short Stories from Kundisai Mudita
By: Strategic Book Publishing and Rights Co, LLC
Her fictional stories detail the issues facing Africa, including critical shortages of the basic commodities necessary for life; the effects of poverty; and how some failed to take advantage of golden opportunities, including young people.
When life got too hard to endure, many migrated to live in the diaspora, leaving behind loved ones as well as the memories of what it meant to live in their country. But the diaspora brings on its own problems, as does the moral decay and cultural conflicts that can come with globalisation. Then there are the religious leaders out for material gain, who take advantage of those who are hurting and seeking a new life.
Note: The book's issues do not represent the interests of the Zimbabwean government or any Zimbabwean. The characters and names are strictly fictitious.
"This powerful book tells it like it is for immigrants and for those choosing to remain in their own country, no matter the problems. We are thrilled to announce its release," said Robert Fletcher, CEO of Strategic Book Publishing and Rights Agency.
About the Author: Kundisai Mudita taught at primary schools in Zimbabwe before joining Great Zimbabwe University as an assistant lecturer in 2009. She is currently a full-time lecturer at Great Zimbabwe University in the Department of Special Needs Education. This is her fourth book.
