OSWEGO, Ill. - May 7, 2018 - PRLog -- Rapidly approaching are those long, dog days of summer. Last year, I found awesome festivals all across the US in my Top 5 Must See Summer Festivals. And the last thing this blogger wants is to be stuck sweating it out. Feet in a baby pool, watching purposeless children terrorize each other, doing endless loads of laundry, and wondering how long you can procrastinate cooking dinner in a kitchen that's 500 degrees. So call Grandma and Grandpa. Pay for cousin Tiffany's train ticket from Green Bay. Because you're going to need a babysitter when you set out to recapture your youth with your favorite bands of the 90's and 2000's. Here is the Guide to Rocking Out Old School Style Summer 2018: Bands from the 90's and 2000's.

1. Arroyo Seco Weekend June 23rd & 24th 2018 Pasadena, CA

Pasadena's answer to Coachella is finally here! The Arroyo Seco Weekend will take over Brookside Park (right next to the Rose Bowl) in Pasadena, the weekend of June 23rd. With some totally rad 90's and 2000's live performances. Such as Neil Young, The Pretenders, Third Eye Blind, Kings of Leon, Alanis Morissette, Violent Femmes, and MORE! Make sure to come with an appetite for some chill throwback tunage and some great eats. As there will be plenty to taste with many chef - driven food pop-ups.Click here (https://www.arroyosecoweekend.com/) for details.

2. Van's Warped Tour 18' Summer 2018 US Tour

After 23 years running, the Warped Tour will do its final cross country tour this summer. This was the concert you saved all your lawn mowing money up for when you were a kid. Many big names in pop rock (such as Katy Perry and Skrillex) have gotten their start performing on the stages of the Warped Tour. Unfortunately, your kids won't be able to experience the emo, misunderstood alternate universe that this tour exists in. But you do have another chance to go there once again! Luckily for you, this line up has the perfect 90's and 2000s nostalgia you crave. Such as 3OH!3, BOWLING FOR SOUP, LESS THAN JAKE, SUM 41, and much more. Don your bowl cut and wallet chain for once last walk of glory at the Van's Warped Tour 18' Click here (https://vanswarpedtour.com/) for everything you need to know.

3. Naperville Ribfest July 4th- July 7th 2018 Naperville, IL

The Naperville Ribfest has been a growing Independence Day destination since 1987. Located at Knoch Park in Naperville (26 miles west of Chicago). This festival is driven by a star studded line up, an immense selection of BBQ and fair favorites, and a firework spectacular! This year they have earned their spot on our Guide to Rocking Out Old School Style. Featuring: Steven Tyler, Pitbull, and Melissa Etheridge. Go to http://www.ribfest.net/ to make your July 4th plans at the 31st Annual Naperville Ribfest!

4. Moondance Jam Rock and Classic Rock Festival 2018 July 19-21st Walker, MN

This is Minnesota's biggest rock n' roll party of the year! Located at Moondance Events in the Leech Lake/Chippewa National Forest Area near Walker, Minnesota. Whether you camp out, tailgate, or lay out you can start this party early at the pre jam party on the 18th. And it's free for anyone with a 3-day ticket! Showers, food, ice, and firewood are available on the park grounds. It's first come first serve festival seating so make sure to stake out a spot early for your favorite bands. This event is chock full of great rock n' roll and even some of our 90's and 2000's favorites. 5. I Love the 90's Tour Summer 2018 US Tour

This is heaven on earth for any lover of old school rap, hip hop, and R&B. Most definitely ready to "shoop, shoop-a-oop" even the smoothest cat. With many tour dates and locations there is sure to be a venue hosting this tour near you. I have to make this a huge shout out to all my Jr. high posse. Because this tour has every cassette single we burned out on our Walkman every summer from 94' to 98'. Featuring nostalgic 90's bands such as: Vanilla Ice, Salt N Pepa with Spinderella, All 4 One, Color Me Badd, Coolio, Tone Loc, Rob Base and Young MC. This tour is also known for great 90's guest appearances and hosts, like last year's Marl Summers. Go to their website for all festival info: http://ilovethe90stour.com/

Starting to feel like a kid again? Well you don't have a lot of time to practice your Roger Rabbit and drag the old parachute pants out of storage. So get going on making great summer memories enjoying this Guide to Rocking Out Old School Style Summer 2018: Bands from the 90's and 2000's.
