Groundwater programs in SLO County continue to evolve and monitoring is one of the key topics at the SLO County Public Works Department. In order to stay in compliance, growers need to keep up-to-date with the issues and programs. Dienzo will give an update on the evolving groundwater monitoring programs and an overview of how to comply with California regulations. He will also discuss monitoring options and their costs, as well as what information growers will need to provide to the county about specific water level and usage. SIP (Sustainability in Practice) Certification – Beth Vukmanic Lopez, SIP Certified Manager, Vineyard Team. The SIP certification process is a series of questions and practices that will help you sustainably farm your vineyard. Post Bloom Petiole and Blade Analyses – Lowell J. Zelinski, Ph.D., President, Precision Ag Consulting. Petiole sampling during bloom time is an important process to accurately determine the vineyard's nutrient requirements.
