Dorchester County Councilman Enters The Race For SC House, District 98

CHARLESTON, S.C. - May 7, 2018 - PRLog -- Larry Hargett, currently a Dorchester County Councilman for District 4, enters the race for South Carolina House District 98.  His neighbors and constituents alike stand behind him in support, ready for him to bring his eclectic experience to the State House. Education at all levels in the tri county area is very important to him.  He is a proponent of growth by smart land management. He champions proper land use and planning with special attention to job producing entities that will economically grow the region. He believes unshakably in facilitating an entrance for a new generation of representatives to provide innovative solutions to issues in and across the Lowcountry. He is a man astute at recognizing need and is always the first to volunteer. Hargett sees a need for District 98 and plans to be the answer.

Hargett's other professional obligations include service as the chairman of the Dorchester County Public Works, Property and Utilities Committee.  He is a member of the Administrative & Intergovernmental Affairs Committee, the Audit Committee, as well a host of other committees serving the public.  Hargett has spent nearly every weekend for thirty years at the Lieber Correctional Institution in Ridgeville, SC volunteering his time with Prison Ministries.

Larry Hargett is a man of much ability. A veteran of the United States Army, having served in the US Army Intelligence Service, Hargett is also an FAA licensed Private Pilot.

Supported by his wife of fifty years, Linda and their children and grandchildren, he is ready to take action in Columbia. Hargett is a professional of several fields and supported by his family and community welcomes election day on June 12, 2018.
