Nielson writes, "As I go through my days, I make every attempt to stay alert to the signs and symbols that my soul sends me to let me know I'm on the right track when I'm attempting to do something." She continues adding, " I'm aware also that my soul is speaking to me when things come into my life easily and effortlessly when I express a heartfelt desire. When I pay attention, I realize my soul is always speaking to me."

"This train of thought," says Nielson, "led me to begin paying even more attention to all of the signs big and small showing us humans that our soul is speaking to us. I also remember what happens when we don't listen to our souls. Life can get pretty bumpy. I think we've all experienced that ride!"

According to Nielson, "As I reminisced, I thought about an old story I heard quite some time ago that always serves to remind me about the signs we so often fail to see. The story is about a hiker who fell over the side of a very steep cliff. You may have heard it too."

Nielson goes on to share the story, after which she says, "I've always loved this funny story because it points out so clearly that God – our soul, the Universe, whatever you choose to call it – always comes to our aid in a multitude of ways. The signs and symbols, the help, the gifts are endless if only we recognize them and accept them."
