Colorado Lending Source's Executive Director Receives Amy McDowell Award
Mike O'Donnell awarded in Denver during National Small Business Week

This prestigious award was created in honor of a long-time SBA Colorado District Office employee who was dedicated to the betterment of all entrepreneurs. This award is presented to an individual who goes above and beyond the normal call of duty and is dedicated to serving small businesses whole-heartedly.
Upon accepting the award, Mike stated, "Amy was an amazing person, and receiving this award is a true honor. My goal and Colorado Lending Source's goal is to help make Colorado the best state in the nation to start and grow a businesses."
Colorado Lending Source also received the Large Certified Development Company (CDC) of the Year Award. Additional awards were given during the ceremony, which included:
· SBA 7(a) Small Lender Award: CoBiz Financial
· SBA 7(a) Large Lender Award: Wells Fargo Bank
· SBA 504 Small CDC Award: Pikes Peak Regional Development Corporation
· Dwight D. Eisenhower Award: Hensel Phelps Construction Company

· Region VIII Small Business Advocate Award: MICC Fort Carson 918 Contracting Battaloin
· SBDC Excellence and Innovation Award: Sharon King, Boulder SBDC
The Colorado District Wall of Fame Inductee was presented to Jon and Adam Schlegel, owners of Snooze AM Eatery, and the Small Business Person of the Year was awarded to Margot Langstaff and Elisa Hamill of LifeHealth.

Every year since 1963, the president has issued a proclamation calling for the celebration of National Small Business Week to recognize critical contributions of America's entrepreneurs and small business owners.
