L-Tron Sr. Vice President Named Technology Woman of the Year Finalist

VICTOR, N.Y. - May 1, 2018 - PRLog -- L-Tron Corporation is pleased to announce that its Senior Vice President, Gayle DeRose, was nominated and honored as a finalist at the 2018 Digital Rochester Technology Woman of the Year Award ceremony. The awards breakfast took place on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Locust Hill Country Club in Pittsford, NY.

Gayle DeRose serves not only as the Sr. Vice President of L-Tron, but as the Chief Operations Officer and Marketing Director, as well. Gayle builds digital content that focuses on drawing more women into technology fields and recognizing the work of women in technology. She recently launched a Linkedin group to collaborate and share ideas with other local women in technology (Women ROC the Tech). Gayle is passionate about increasing the number of women in STEM fields and supporting female leaders in technology. She feels that it is an important way to give back to the community. Gayle is a life-long learner and a transparent leader, who mentors and teaches her team members.

As the event concluded, Gayle commented, "I have never been more honored to lose an award; surrounded by hundreds of women in technology (my peeps!). The room was filled with brilliance and support. The Technology Woman of the Year Award recognizes a woman with more than 5 years of experience in a high-technology field who has made visible achievements in the Rochester area, mentors young women in the field, and contributes to the economic growth of the region.
