St. Anne's Credit Union Offers Assistance to Make Homeownership a Reality

FALL RIVER, Mass. - April 27, 2018 - PRLog -- St. Anne's Credit Union recognizes the various challenges associated with purchasing a home and can provide assistance as an approved member of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston's Equity Builder Program – a program assisting local income-eligible homebuyers in purchasing homes they intend to occupy as their primary residence.

The program offers grants for down payment and closing costs, rehabilitation costs associated with acquisition, and reimbursement of homebuyer counseling programs. Borrowers are eligible to receive up to $11,000 on a first-come, first-served basis, and must complete a homebuyer counseling program and have individual or household income equal to or below 80 percent of the HUD meridian income based on their future address to qualify for assistance. Since 2003, the Equity Builder Program (EBP) has awarded more than $35 million in EBP funds assisting 3,150 income-eligible households in purchasing a home.
