Sacred Heart Team wins Plymouth League of Women Voters Civics Bee

 
HANOVER, Mass. - April 26, 2018 - PRLog -- Sacred Heart School (www.sacredheartkingston.com), a private, Catholic, co-educational school in Kingston for students in preschool through grade 12, is proud to announce that its high school Civics Bee Team has won the 4th Annual Plymouth League of Women Voters Civics Bee.

Held on April 8th at the Community Intermediate School in Plymouth, the Civics Bee challenged teams from eight participating high schools to answer multiple choice questions related to civics.  Ultimately, the Sacred Heart team of four students bested all competition, to take home the coveted trophy.

Team members were senior Mary Kelley of Plymouth, sophomore Kayla Turner of Middleboro, freshman Nick Mossman of Carver and sophomore Sullivan Padgett of Middleboro.

"What an outstanding performance by these fine students," said Sacred Heart High School Principal Dr. Michael Gill, extending thanks to Social Studies teacher Richard Steele who oversaw Sacred Heart's participation in the event.  "This victory is yet another example of the well-rounded education that is supportively delivered at Sacred Heart."
