Kathy Majam Appointed Sr. Personal Lines Account Manager for Cavignac & Associates

SAN DIEGO - April 24, 2018 - PRLog -- Kathy Majam, a 34-year veteran of the insurance industry, has been appointed by Cavignac & Associates (http://cavignac.com/) to serve as a senior account manager within its Personal Lines Department, announced Jeffrey W. Cavignac, CPCU, RPLU, CRIS, company principal and founder.

         Cavignac & Associates is a downtown San Diego-based risk management and insurance brokerage firm employing 55 people.  The company established its Personal Lines Department three years ago, broadening its range of risk management and insurance brokerage services it provides to commercial and private clients.

         As personal lines senior account manager, Majam serves as the main contact at the agency for clients whose accounts she has been assigned.  She processes new and renewal policies, prepares quotes, submits endorsement requests to insurance companies, issues auto ID cards, and processes endorsement transactions, daily certificates and renewal certificates.

         Previously Majam was vice president of personal lines for Orr & Associates Insurance Services in Temecula, where she was employed for three years and built the company's personal lines department from the ground up.  For nine years before that, she was the office manager for North County Insurance, located in Escondido.  Prior career experience includes serving as personal lines manager for Bauer Insurance, later sold to Wateridge Insurance Services, where she worked for eight years.  Before that, she was an agent/trainer for Allstate Insurance.

         Majam attended San Diego State University and holds a California Life Insurance license and Property & Casualty Insurance license.  She wasa member of the American Business Women's Association.

         Her honors include having been awarded the AIG JoAnne Heltibridle award for Professional Excellence and Rookie of the Year from the Boys & Girls Club.  She was selected to be part of an advisory board for Travelers Insurance.  She also was a guest on KCBQ's Mike Litton Show as the "insurance guru."

         Majam's civic involvement includes serving as director of fundraising for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego and fundraising for Connor's Cause. In 2000 she worked with the San Diego Gulls, San Diego's professional hockey team, to form the San Diego Gulls Roller Hockey Association, a nonprofit organization that gave scholarships to children.

Born in Inglewood, Calif., and raised in San Diego, Majam currently resides in Escondido, Calif., with her husband of 35 years, Roland Majam.  They have one son, Michael.  In her leisure time, she enjoys watching hockey, travelling and winetasting.
