Westmount Realty Capital Hires Derek Schauer as Senior Director – Office Acquisitions

DALLAS - April 24, 2018 - PRLog -- Westmount Realty Capital, LLC (http://www.westmountrc.com/), a commercial real estate development and investment management company, announced that Derek Schauer has joined the company as Senior Director – Office Acquisitions. Schauer will play an integral role in expanding Westmount's office portfolio by seeking out investment opportunities and managing the acquisitions process.

Before joining Westmount, Schauer was vice president and principal of Solid Rock Group where he was responsible for sourcing, underwriting and asset management for the firm's office investments.

While at Solid Rock Group, he managed investment deals ranging from $100 million to $1 billion per transaction.

Prior to joining Solid Rock Group, Schauer spent nearly 10 years at Dallas-based Cawley Partners. As director of asset management, he managed 23 buildings totaling 4 million square feet of office space in seven markets across the U.S. and was responsible for negotiating and managing the acquisition of office assets of totaling more than $230 million.

Schauer is an active member of Young Real Estate Professionals and the Jesuit Real Estate Group. He is also a member of The One Society, an organization that supports Dallas-based Children's Health by engaging and fostering young leaders to make life better for children through philanthropic, educational, fundraising, volunteer and social opportunities. Schauer holds a bachelor's degree in finance from Florida State University.
