Tax Expert and Advisor Barry G. Fowler, Lets Taxpayers Know They Have A Bill of Rights
By: Taxation Solutions
Houston, TX – April 24, 2018 – Barry G. Fowler, CEO of Taxation Solutions, posted a new article on his website entitled "Know Your Taxpayer Rights," in which Mr. Fowler helps alleviate fear of the IRS.
Fowler writes, "The mad rush to get taxes done before the tax filing deadline is on." He continues adding, "The fear and dread that most taxpayers experience this time of year may be because the majority believes they have no rights. Let me correct that."
Fowler states, "Every American taxpayer has rights." He asks, "Do you know what those rights are?" Fowler continues elaborating, "More than half of U.S. taxpayers don't believe they have any rights when dealing with the IRS. The 2012 taxpayer survey that revealed this alarming statistic caused concern for Nina Olson, the National Taxpayer Advocate. She worked to create the Taxpayer Bill of Rights and to state these clearly and simply and make sure they are prominently displayed. You can always find them online at https://www.irs.gov/
Fowler reprints all 10 of the Taxpayer Bill of Rights which includes, "The right to be informed," and "The Right To Quality Service".
"Remember," says Fowler, "the IRS is always respectful of taxpayers. They do not threaten taxpayers, even those who are behind on their taxes. So, beware of anyone calling, texting, emailing or visiting your home in person threatening to arrest you or penalize you in any way if you do not pay right away. Those are criminal scammers.".
