Come Sing Jazz Standards with Us

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - April 21, 2018 - PRLog -- The Great American Songbook Meetup is moving to midtown Sacramento's Threepenny Theatre on the corner of 25th and R Streets, located within the R25 Arts Complex. The theatre has just 29 seats, so be sure and RSVP to reserve your spot to sing.

Who participates? Our singers have all level of experience, from beginner to professional, and are all ages, from student to senior. What unites us in our love of the American songs of Irving Berlin, Cole Porter and Johnny Mercer, among others.

The joy of singing, accompanied by gifted professional musicians, in front of a warm and appreciative audience, makes this the best night of the month.

"For over five years, our group of music lovers have celebrated the greatest American art form, the jazz standards of the 1920's, 30's & 40's. Keeping this music alive is essential and there's no better way to do it than singing," says Shelley Burns, Sacramento's leading jazz vocalist.
