Follow on Google News | The World Turns to War receives Bronze Medal in the 2018 Independent Publisher Book AwardsThe Independent Publisher Book Awards (IPPYs) is a production of the Jenkins Group, Inc., a Michigan-based publishing and marketing company that specializes in handling book marketing strategies and sales for independent publishers. The company also posts an online newsletter for publishers and authors, and hosts other book competitions. Jim Barnes of the Jenkins Group, Inc., Awards Director of the IPPYs, states, "Since our inaugural contest to now, we've seen thousands of books, and the beautiful thing is – they keep getting better. Our entrants are consistently putting out truly moving, entertaining, powerful books that exemplify what indies are capable of." The World Turns to War has also been designated a Finalist in Foreword Reviews' 2017 Indies Book Of The Year Awards in the War & Military category. Winners in this competition will be announced on June 15, 2018. In addition to The World Turns to War, the War Stories World War II Firsthand™ series includes The Pacific – Volume One – Pearl Harbor to Guadalcanal, The Pacific – Volume Two – The Solomons to Saipan, D-Day – The Campaign Across France (an Independent Publishers Silver Medal winner in 2012) and Their Darkest Hour – Britain, Its Enemies and Allies, to be published in late 2018.
