By: NJTIA With this Travel Show Cooperative NJTIA has taken a leadership role to insure that important key demographics are not overlooked by tourism marketing efforts. This marketing cooperative serves as the only statewide promotion at these vital exhibition settings New York Times Travel Show – January 26 – 28, 2018, Philadelphia Travel and Adventure Show – March 10 & 11, 2018 Maryland Motorcoach Association Group Leader Travel Showcase – March 27 & 28, 2018 and the Pennsylvania Motorcoach Association Marketplace – March 28, 2018 These shows have been carefully selected as they represent consistent sales channel connections for top travel brands. The shows are attended by a dedicated following of serious travel buyers and offers New Jersey a tremendous face-to-face marketing opportunity to showcase our destinations and tour products to a qualified travel audience. NJTIA Members, and their respective membership, were allowed to access the cooperative for a nominal fee. Participation at the NY Times Travel show included Cape May County Chamber of Commerce, Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce/ Long Beach Island Region, New Jersey Campground Association, Somerset County Tourism , Steel Pier and Tropicana. Participation at the Philadelphia Travel and Adventure Show included Cape May County Chamber of Commerce, Harrahs, Meadowlands Liberty Convention & Visitors Bureau, New Jersey Campground Association, Somerset County Tourism, Steel Pier, Tropicana and Visit South Jersey. Participation at the Maryland Motorcoach Association Group Leader Travel Showcase and Pennsylvania Motorcoach Association Marketplace included Cape May County Chamber of Commerce, Elizabeth Destination Marketing Organization, Meadowlands Liberty Convention & Visitors Bureau and Steel Pier. The NJTIA is especially grateful for the help of NJ Division of Travel and Tourism in the creation and utilization of its professional exhibit items as well as grant funding. NJTIA advocates for enhanced government support for Tourism in the State by educating our elected and appointed officials on the industry, its economic benefit to the State and the role that those employed by and for the industry add to the quality of life for every citizen of NJ. On a daily basis the organization dedicates itself to the cause of building tourism within NJ and promoting the economic benefits of tourism for the entire state. NJTIA is working with their partners to determine if specific business was a result of the exhibitions. The next travel show planned will be in Hershey Pennsylvania this fall.
