The Theatre Fellowship of Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church is presenting Ken Ludwig's farcical mystery-comedy "The Game's Afoot," winner of the 2012 Edgar Award for Best Mystery Play of 2012. The production, directed by Doug Paulson and produced by Lucy Cabrera, opens on Friday, April 20 (after a April 19 preview) Described by Broadway World as "murderously funny," The Game's Afoot is set during Christmas 1936 at the Connecticut estate of the real-life William Gillette, an actor-playwright famous for playing Sherlock Holmes on stage in a play on which he collaborated with Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
