Ara Oghoorian Appointed to Board of Directors of Mission Valley Bancorp & Bank

With over 26 years of experience in the financial services industry, Oghoorian has worked in wealth management firms, banks, and government agencies providing investment management, tax preparation, financial planning, and complex risk-management strategies, to high net-worth individuals and institutional clients, before founding his own firm, ACap Asset Management, Inc. in Los Angeles, CA in 2009.

Oghoorian previously worked for the U.S. Department of the Treasury as an advisor to the Ministry of Finance and Economy in the Republic of Armenia, as well as conducted work in the Republic of Georgia and the Republic of Latvia. He spent nine years at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco examining foreign and domestic banks and bank holding companies.

Oghoorian graduated from San Francisco State University with a BS in Finance. He is a Commissioned Bank Examiner through the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation, Enrolled Agent (EA) designation, and holds the Series 65 license.
