Follow on Google News | Gregory Blair Joins Cast of Dustin Ferguson's Sci-Fi Revenge Flick "Robowoman""I really liked how the script stayed true to the revenge trope while offering some fresh, interesting twists," Blair said. "The lead doesn't have the typical boyfriend element: instead, she has a strong and supportive relationship with another woman, giving the film a nice feminist angle. And my character Robby, while a villain, is a little bit of a victim, too, in that, because he is developmentally immature, his big brother (who should be teaching him right from wrong) is a horrible man who fosters Robby's more wanton and antisocial impulses. It's always great for an actor to have a role that's unique and meaty like that." Blair previously worked with Ferguson on the comedy Horndogs Beach Party, which will likely hit the market later this year. "Dustin's a very relaxed director," Blair said, "which makes for a very relaxed set and shoot. It's actually the ideal environment to do good work. That's why, when he approached me about the role for Robowoman, I was half sold before I'd even read a page." Blair is joined in the film by other actors known for genre work, including Dawna Lee Heising (Garden Party Massacre) who stars as the titular character, Laurene Landon (Maniac Cop), Mel Novak (An Eye for an Eye) and Aki Aleong (Babylon 5). The Robowoman cybernetics and other sci-fi visuals will be created by special effects wizard Joe Castro (Bonehill Road) and the film will feature music by Daiane Azura of Pandora Black. "Robowoman" is slated to shoot late Spring of 2018. For more information on Gregory Blair: http://www.imdb.com/ For more information on Dustin Ferguson: http://www.imdb.com/ End
