WASHINGTON - April 10, 2018 - PRLog -- Georgetown Park is celebrating the arrival of Church Hall with an art installation that pays tribute to Georgetown Hoyas Basketball legends.  The two-panel, large-scale installation was created by acclaimed artist Elliot Gerard and recently installed by Jamestown, L.P. to help recognize the grand opening of Church Hall – the 6,000-square foot restaurant and taproom located at 1070 Wisconsin Avenue, NW. and founded by renowned restaurateurs Geoff Dawson and Peter Bayne, principals of Tin Shop Group.

Gerard, vice president and creative director at MKTG, is a popular artist in the sports world, and widely known as LeBron James's favorite NBA creative mind; Gerard was most recently commissioned to design the Cleveland Cavalier's 2017 NBA Finals branding.

The new art installation in Georgetown Park showcases Georgetown University basketball standouts Patrick Ewing, Allen Iverson, Alonzo Mourning, Dikembe Mutombo and Otto Porter and faces the entrance of Church Hall.

In late March, the Tin Shop Group opened Church Hall as the latest in a series of thriving concepts across D.C. that have revolutionized the alehouse experience. Dawson, co-founder of Tin Shop Group, opened neighborhood-favorites Buffalo Billiards, Penn Social, Highline RxR, Big Chief, Smoked & Stacked, and Franklin Hall. Recognized for his ability to create venues with distinctive and fun atmospheres, Dawson remains at the forefront of evocative dining concepts in D.C.
