Follow on Google News | Remington College Memphis Campus offers new Facility Maintenance Diploma and Degree ProgramsBy: Remington College These programs provide hands-on training in servicing, maintaining and operating a variety of equipment commonly found in residential and commercial facilities. Students will also learn how to maintain and repair facility infrastructure and mechanical equipment, such as carpentry, electrical, and heating, ventilation and air conditioning. The Diploma Program typically takes nine months for full-time students to complete, and the Degree Program typically takes 21 months to complete.1 The Diploma Program is designed to prepare students for a number of entry-level positions in the Building Maintenance industry, and the Degree Program is designed to prepare students for both entry-level and mid-level positions.2 When students successfully complete all program requirements, graduates will receive a Diploma in Facility Maintenance or an Associate of Occupational Studies Degree in Facility Maintenance and Technology. The program includes training in: · Plumbing · Carpentry and Finishing · Electrical Systems Maintenance and Troubleshooting · OSHA and LEED Guidelines According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the need for maintenance and repair workers is expected to grow from 2016 to 2026. Increasing home prices and sales drive the demand for this occupation because of the need for remodeling and maintenance work.
