Mission Senior Living Welcomes Jennifer Awinda to Leadership Team

CARSON CITY, Nev. - April 6, 2018 - PRLog -- Mission Senior Living has announced the addition of Jennifer Awinda as director of resident enrichment, a position created to oversee life enrichment programs and services at the organization's six assisted living and memory care communities. She reports to Sarah Green, Mission Senior Living's vice president of operations.

Awinda joins Mission Senior Living with more than a decade of senior living activities, programming, marketing, and leadership expertise. "It's all about serving people and improving lives every day," she said. "Together with our team, residents not only receive exceptional care, but they also experience opportunities to learn and participate in diverse, engaging and fun programs.

Awinda collaborates with and mentors the communities' life enrichment directors and dining services members who share a common purpose to serve others and engage residents and family members in meaningful ways.

Previously, Awinda worked for a national senior care provider in Arizona where she served in several leadership positions, including executive director and regional operations specialist. Awinda also authored two children's books that illustrate and explain memory loss and the changes family members experience. She authored "Navigating Arizona's Senior Care Industry" to assist older adults and family members.
