LORAIN, Ohio - April 5, 2018 - PRLog -- Last week, local attorney Jack W. Bradley participated in "Court in a Classroom," a program that brings actual court proceedings into schools.  Judge John J. Russo, the administrative and presiding Judge of the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court personally invited Bradley to share the inner workings of a courtroom with area students from four Junior High Schools.

Bradley, who is a candidate for Domestic Relations and Juvenile Court Judge in Lorain County, hopes to bring the Court in a Classroom program to Lorain County Public Schools if elected to the bench. "I think it is important for citizens, and especially Judges, to take preventative measures with children and adolescents," Bradley said, "With the current opioid crisis and many adolescents seeking direction, I feel it is crucial for judges to be proactive, answer questions, offer programs, and show a genuine interest in a positive setting- I believe such outreach would prevent many children from ever having to meet a judge in the courtroom."

Bradley is no stranger to the classroom. He served as a fourth grade teacher at Emerson Elementary School in Lorain for five years during law school. He also mentored teens for 15 years through the St. Leonard Retreat Center in Avon.

Dwayne Jarrell of Vermillion, former fourth grade student of Bradley, now in his 40s, expresses that Bradley was a memorable teacher. "He was very fair, passionate, and always cared about us as students,"  says Jarrell, "I had a speech problem in my younger years, and at times, students and other teachers would laugh at me.  Mr. Bradley always was very encouraging and supportive.  He showed me that I could overcome my problem with hard work, and his encouragement, to this day, has had a positive impact on my life"

An attorney for over 40 years, in both the domestic relations and criminal courts, Bradley is a believer in education and mentorship. "If we strengthen our families and save young people, then I don't have to worry about them being a part of the criminal justice system," says Bradley, "It's really about solving things at the root of the problem, lending support and giving hope."
