Follow on Google News | New Online Tool Helps Immigrants Make a PlanBy: Pro Bono Net Make a Plan is available in English and Spanish at www.immi.org/ "We created Make a Plan to give people peace of mind," said Pat Malone, Associate Director at Immigration Advocates Network (IAN). "We all hope we never need our emergency plans, but it's important to be prepared." Make a Plan is the newest addition to immi.org, a plain language website that helps people understand legal rights in the U.S. and paths to legal immigration status. Immi features "know your rights" articles, a quiz to identify options for legal status, and a searchable directory of over 1,000 nonprofits providing immigration legal assistance. The site was created with support from Open Society Foundations and Grove Foundation. Make a Plan is based on a collaboration with Cornell Law School's Technology, Innovation and the Law Clinic.
