Is Brexit the effect of Facebook data leak?

LONDON - March 29, 2018 - PRLog -- The experts who alleged about Facebook data being improperly used to help Donald Trump's White House bid also said on Tuesday that he firmly believes the BREXIT movement was manipulated into persuading the people of Britain in quitting the EU using the Facebook data as well.
Christopher Wylie, who helped develop Cambridge Analytica the tools and methods for using the collected user information to persuade voters, said "All kinds of people had access to the data, it was everywhere."

He also informed the House of Commons media committee in a 3½-hour hearing that he believes the breach of data exceeded even more than 50 million as was reported earlier although he did not give any figures for further use. The 28-year-old Canadian says he helped set up Cambridge Analytica in 2013 and left the company following year. He described Cambridge Analytica as just one arm of a global company, SCL Group. SCL Group's main income sources are fat military contracts and they are also a political gun-for-hire

BREXIT: Britain's departure for EU was backed by 51.9% of voters in a closely fought referendum IN 2016. "I think it is incredibly reasonable to say that AIQ played a very significant role in Leave winning," Wylie said in the hearing.

He additionally testified that AggregateIQ was formed when Cambridge Analytica wanted to expand its workforce but the Canadians they needed were not willing to relocate to Britain. The technology both firms were using shared similar underlying structure. They may not have worked under the same roof but their working was so closely knit that Cambridge Analytica staff often referred to the Canadian firm as a "department," he said.

Aggregate IQ, based in Victoria, British Columbia, issued a statement denying it being a part of Cambridge Analytica or SCL. "All work AggregateIQ does for each client is kept separate from every other client." they added.
