MOSCOW, Russian Federation - March 28, 2018 - PRLog -- Russian Foreign Trade has released the reports on Russia's foreign trade in goods with the countries of Asia in 2017.

The reports have been prepared by Russian Foreign Trade stuff based on the data from the Federal Customs Service of Russia.

In particular, the reports have been issued on Russia's trade with the following countries: China, Japan, Turkey, South Korea, Kazakhstan, India, Taiwan, Vietnam, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Israel, Singapore, Malaysia, Iran, Armenia, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Mongolia, Turkmenistan, Georgia, Hong Kong, Tajikistan, Lebanon, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Syria, the Philippines, Jordan, Myanmar (Burma), Yemen, Abkhazia, Afghanistan, Cambodia, North Korea, Qatar, South Ossetia, and Pakistan (42 reports in total).

A brief review of Russia's trade with Asian countries in 2017

The share of Asian countries in Russia's total trade (exports and imports) rose from 37.37% in 2016 to 38.37% in 2017.

The share of Asian countries in Russia's total exports rose from 35.65% in 2016 to 36.70% in 2017.

The share of Asian countries in Russia's total imports rose from 40.05% in 2016 to 41.00% in 2017.

The major trading partners of Russia in Asia in 2017:

- The top ten Russia's trade partners in Asia in 2017 were China (14.8899% of Russia's total foreign trade), Turkey (3.6990%), South Korea (3.3009%), Japan (3.1268%), Kazakhstan (2.9519%), India (1.6023%), Taiwan (0.9068%), Vietnam (0.8950%), Singapore (0.7616%), and Uzbekistan (0.6253%);

- The top ten Russia's export markets in Asia in 2017 were China (10.9000% of Russia's total exports), Turkey (5.1027%), South Korea (3.4573%), Kazakhstan (3.4513%), Japan (2.9406%), India (1.8079%), Taiwan (0.9439%), Singapore (0.9214%), Uzbekistan (0.7352%), and Azerbaijan (0.5419%);

- The top ten Russia's import suppliers from Asia in 2017 were China (21.1671% of Russia's total imports), Japan (3.4196%), South Korea (3.0548%), Kazakhstan (2.1663%), Turkey (1.4907%), Vietnam (1.4644%), India (1.2788%), Indonesia (1.0944%), Taiwan (0.8483%), and Thailand (0.7566%).

The most notable changes in Russia's trade with the countries of Asia in 2017 over 2016:

- The share of Iran in Russia's total exports declined from 0.6591% in 2016 to 0.3682% in 2017;

- The share of Malaysia in Russia's total exports declined 2.0-fold from 0.3405% in 2016 to 0.1685% in 2017;

- The share of Turkmenistan in Russia's total exports declined 2.1-fold from 0.1999% in 2016 to 0.0963% in 2017;

- The share of Turkmenistan in Russia's total imports declined 4.9-fold from 0.1817% in 2016 to 0.0372% in 2017;

- The share of the United Arab Emirates in Russia's total imports declined from 0.1496% in 2016 to 0.0755% in 2017;

- The share of Syria in Russia's total imports declined 4.6-fold from 0.0060% in 2016 to 0.0013% in 2017.
