Classic Artists Today Tapped For Two Awards By New Music Weekly Magazine
National Music Industry Publication Names Classic Artists Today Best In College/Adult Album Alternative Categories
"Selected by my peers and listeners for these honors are a highlight of my career in the music industry," stated White. "For over 12 years we've developed a unique niche in radio by featuring "new" music from "classic" rock and pop bands and performers, along with other music genres. An overwhelming majority of radio stations don't play new music from these legacy artists - who have collectively sold hundreds of millions of albums and entertained billions of people throughout their careers. Classic Artists Today reconnects the artists with their long-time fans and also exposes their new and "classic" music to a whole new generation of music lovers. We're looking for new collaborations and affiliates during 2018 to continue our growth in this expanding segment of the music industry," White added.
2018 New Music Award's winners were selected from the nominated list of Finalists by radio personnel, music industry executives, fans and industry panelists. "The NMAs is proud to be the first and only award show not weighted down with the politics of the mainstream obstacles of the corporate world," said Paul Loggins who is publisher of New Music Weekly magazine. "The NMAs Winners represent independent and major artists/bands and their releases to show the true talent which exists in the music industry today. Voters within the NMAs cast their ballots on the basis of artistic merit and marketing campaigns which reflect a value-centered vision," states Larry Weir, editor of New Music Weekly. Other winners of this years' awards included Imagine Dragons, Cheap Trick, Ed Sheeran, Beck, Bruno Mars, John Ratliff & Receptacle , WVIN and RCA/RLG Records.
Ray White was previously named "College Program Director of the Year," by New Music Weekly magazine for their 2017 New Music Awards.
