(combining the words Biotech + Ayur, meaning Life Science) is Dr. Abhay Kumar Pati, who was born in Raj-Nilgiri, Balasore District, Orissa, India. Dr. Pati was trained as a Physician in Calcutta at the J. B. Ray State Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital (Asthanga Ayurvedic College & Hospital is one of the oldest Ayurvedic Institution in India, under Calcutta University). The college was founded in 1916 by Dr. Jamini Bhushan Ray, Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Vallahabhbhai Patel. Dr. Pati received his degree in Integrated medicine both in Ayurvedic, the traditional medicine of India and modern Western medicine, Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) and MASF (Member of Ayurvedic State Faculty) in 1980.
