PrimeSurface® cultureware are ultra-low attachment (ULA) dishes and plates that promote scaffold-free self-assembly of three-dimensional cellular spheroids. The plates are pre-coated with a unique ultra-hydrophilic polymer that enables spontaneous spheroid formation of uniform size and shape. The ULA plates have high optical clarity making them highly suitable for bright-field imaging and confocal microscopy. In addition to the widely used 96-well U-bottom plate, 96-well plates are also available with V- and M-bottom, giving scientist a choice to form tighter spheroids that are needed for specific cell types. For high-throughput screening (HTS) needs, 384-well plates are available in clear and white.

For Stem Cell Research:

Induction of ES, iPS, and mesenchymal stem cells differentiation from embryoid body formation.

For Drug Screening Research & Development:

An ideal product for drug response studies. Three-dimensional spheroid models are, physiologically, more relevant than two-dimensional monolayer models.

Grow uniform spheroids and screen for drug response in 96- and 384-well plates.

384-well white plates are suitable for chemiluminescence assay screening.

Compatible with bright-field and fluorescence Imaging systems:

• Spheroid applications on IncuCyte® by Sartorius
• Cytation 5 by BioTek

Experimental approach:

For tissue engineering and regenerative medicine via Regenova, a novel robotic system that facilitates the fabrication of three-dimensional cellular structures by placing cellular spheroids in fine needle arrays according to pre-designed 3D data. Experiments were performed with S-BIO's PrimeSurface™ 96U plates. More data on request.
