United Premier Soccer League Announces Kern County Mustangs FC as Western Conference Expansion Team
Bakersfield (Calif.)-Based Pro Development Club Kicks off UPSL Play This Season

Based in Bakersfield (Calif.), Kern County Mustangs FC begins UPSL play in the Western Conference, and will host its games at Bakersfield Sports Village (7747-9737 Ashe Road, Bakersfield, CA 93313) in compliance with UPSL's Minimum Standards.
United Premier Soccer League Commissioner Yan Skwara said, "We're pleased to welcome Kern County Mustangs FC to the UPSL Championship Western Conference. California's Central Valley is ripe with good soccer and we want to build deep roots there and be successful on the field and in the community. We wish Kern County Mustangs FC success as it gets set to kick off this Spring."
Kern County Mustangs FC is owned by Juan Luis Ayala and Emmanuel De Alba.
De Alba, 36, serves as Team President and General Manager. A native of Jalisco, Mexico, De Alba owns and operates Premier Soccer League in Bakersfield and works in the air conditioning industry.
Kern County Mustangs FC Co-Owner Emmanuel De Alba said, "There's a lot of talent in Bakersfield but not enough support, so we're trying to support the local competitive players. We're trying to reach out to them and give them that opportunity with the UPSL."
A native of Michoacan, Mexico, Ayala, 43, is a contractor and local business owner.

Kern County Mustangs FC is an American Soccer club currently based in Bakersfield, Calif., and a new member of the United Premier Soccer League. Kern County Mustangs FC will begin play in the UPSL Championship.
Founded in 2018, Kern County Mustangs FC can participate in the qualifying rounds for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup through their affiliation and membership with the UPSL, the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).

UPSL is the fastest growing Pro Development League in the USA, with 140-plus teams targeted for 2018 Spring Season. Each UPSL team is individually owned and operated, and is responsible for maintaining either UPSL Pro Premier Division or Championship Division minimum standards.
UPSL teams are all eligible to participate in the U.S. Open Cup Qualifying Rounds through the leagues affiliation with the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).
