NEW YORK - March 12, 2018 - PRLog -- [NEW YORK, NY] SR Socially Relevant Film Festival 2018 (SRFF 2018) rolls on day three including an Armenian film spotlight, short films on sustainability, VR/360º films, and a Theatre workshop. A Q&A with 'Hot Country' director David Safarian follows the dual-screening of Armenian films. Events begin at 10:30 am on Sunday, March 18 at CRS and Cinema Village. Tickets are available here.

The Fall of the Bamboo - and the rise of a community
Raúl Capote Braña, Jan-Kåre Breivik & Solvei Stoutland |Norway | 2017 | 10 min

The film is a short documentary around action learning and creation of a laboratory for social change based on two experimental university workshop (2014 and 2016) for master students from diverse fields (social science, community work, theatre/music) in Bergen, Norway.

Frans Baartmans left his home in The Netherlands in 1979 to live in India amongst the Dalits in the slums of Nagwa, Varanasi. The Dalits belong to most discriminated group of people in the world and are also known as "untouchables". Being born a Dalit means you are born without a voice and excluded from society and all basic human rights.
