GOOLE, U.K. - March 10, 2018 - PRLog -- Celebrating a full year of fundraising Goldcrest House present the final count of funds of £352.20 to the Goole based charity the Waterways Museum and Sobriety Project.

Throughout 2017 service users at Goldcrest House walked the length of the Humber Bridge and back to raise funds for the charity, which has a special place in their hearts.

Many of the service users have first hand experience of the good work and opportunities provided through the charity with many embarking and completing City & Guilds courses in Employment Skills.

Trish Patrickson, registered manager at Goldcrest House says: "We are very proud of our service users, many have really benefitted from using this service and have been provided with the opportunity to follow their interests in catering, hospitality and horticulture. It's really fitting and lovely to see how much the donation meant to everyone involved."

Based on Boothferry Road Goldcrest House is a centre of excellence dedicated to addressing the individual needs of adults over 18 affected by Autistic Spectrum Disorder and learning difficulties. It provides residential care, supported living, long and short term respite care, day services and outreach to meet the varied needs of those who access the service 52 weeks a year; its aim is to be the UK's quality service of choice
