SR Socially Relevant™ Film Festival NY 2018 Opens Friday 3/16 with Lou Andreas Premiere

NEW YORK - March 9, 2018 - PRLog -- SR Socially Relevant Film Festival 2018 (SRFF 2018) punctuates its Fifth Edition opening night with the feature film Lou Andreas-Salomé: The Audacity to be Free, an award-winning German production by Cordula Kablitz-Post, Best Film at the NDR Young Talent Awards 2018. It is a fearless depiction of the famous female philosopher, scholar, and contemporary of Freud. Cinema Village March 16, 2018, 7:00 pm. Director Present. Tickets via Eventbrite.

An inspiring documentary that explores the stigma surrounding individuals with speech-impediments, aptly titled When I Stutter, precedes the opening film. Comedian Joze Piranian opens with a short stand-up routine about his stutter. A pairing of films starring charming underdog protagonists, Stickman and Malik and the Turtle, from the US and France respectively, close the night.
