Sinq Technologies: Home Health Personal Care Services 2019 Deadline Approaching Quickly and Cautiously

Home Health Software Company, Sinq Technologies, Helps Home Care Agencies Prepare for the 2019 Cures Act Mandate
By: Sinq Technologies
LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill. & CHICAGO - March 6, 2018 - PRLog -- Sinq Technologies, Chicagoland's unique software company that specializes in home health technology, is experiencing an interesting trend surrounding the 21st Century Cures Act deadline for personal care services.  While the deadline of January 2019 is less than a year away, many states, and many more home care agencies across the U.S., are still in the planning phases of obtaining Electronic Visit Verification services to avoid federal penalties.  Executives at Sinq Technologies worry that agencies that do not act quickly will lose crucial dollars, and more importantly, clients within the home.

Matt Tipples, Business Development Executive and Implementation Specialist at Sinq Technologies, knows firsthand about the time needed for a home care agency to successfully onboard and utilize EVV services.  "Agencies and workers that have contracted with Sinq are very happy with our training and support services, but they have had a lot of time to learn, relearn, troubleshoot, and adjust to the changes and technology needed to be successful," notes Matt. Without the time and dedication of the home-care staff, coupled with the small-group workshop settings provided by Sinq, Matt acknowledges that some agencies may not meet the 2019 deadline without impediments.  "If one looks at Ohio, for example, it is proving to be an arduous task for the state and agencies to learn the new technology, troubleshoot, and resolve issues, and they started the process early in the game.  I know it is cliche, but the earlier the better."

While the 2019 deadline is important, the 2023 deadline may be more burdensome if agencies or states are not fully prepared by 2019.  Agencies and workers currently comfortable with EVV and the new technology are more prepared and less anxious about the 2023 deadline for home health workers. Matt realizes that the hard work is during the initial education and training, but his clients are happy to have the hardest part behind them.  "What I enjoy about working at Sinq Technologies is that we can concentrate on customer service and better communication with our clients to achieve the ultimate goal of providing quality care to patients within the home, and at the same time, provide agencies with cost-effective and compliant measures."

Matt encourages home care agencies to reach out to him to start the process, discuss EVV implementation, explore pricing options, or discuss Sinq's customized software platform.
