LEXINGTON, Va. - March 5, 2018 - PRLog -- Taylor Hospitality announced today the promotion of Executive Chef Michael Pascarella to Food and Beverage Director.

"It gives us great pleasure to announce the promotion of Michael at the Robert E. Lee Hotel," said Sean Taylor, founder and CEO of Taylor Hospitality – an Up to Par Management company. "During his time at Rocca, Michael has demonstrated considerable leadership, honest hard work, execution, and ownership of his duties all the while driving quality of food – core values that we expect of our associates," continued Taylor.

Michael Pascarella earned his Culinary Masters Degree from ALMA, The International School of the Italian Kitchen. After graduation, he spent two years in 2 Michelin star restaurants in Piedmont Italy (Villa Crespi & Piccolo Lago) honing his skills. Later earned a 1 Michelin star rating in Valle d' Aosta, Mont Blanc hotel and village as chef de partie with a solid team of chefs. And worked 3 years in Taormina Sicily as chef di partie before moving back to Virginia.

"We are extremely excited about Michael having the full food and beverage responsibility at the Robert E. Lee Hotel. He is committed working with the front of the house and culinary teams to elevate the food and beverage experience at Rocca as well as weddings and events held at the hotel," said Brittany Wright, general manager of the hotel.

During his tenure at Rocca Bar Ristorante, Michael has brought on local produce and meat products, reinvented the menu to include more classic Italian dishes, and introduced traditional Italian courses so diners can enjoy an authentic experience. Chef Pascarella has also made kitchen procedures more efficient, has trained the kitchen associates on how to make fresh house-made items like pasta and sauces, and created invaluable partnerships with local vendors.
