PYEONGCHANG, South Korea & HANNOVER, Germany - Feb. 28, 2018 - PRLog -- For German public TV coverage of the Olympic Winter Games 2018, editors in the International Broadcast Center (IBC) in Pyeongchang require fast access to the video archive system in Germany. Therefore the Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk (MDR) in Leipzig, leading Olympic coverage for German first Television (ARD), is equipped with TIXstream FX, TIXEL's software solution for file exchange via the Internet.

Seamlessly integrated into the archiving workflow, video footage, along with related meta data in Broadcast Metadata Format, is transferred via the internal file transfer system TIXstream MFT to TIXstream FX. The on-site editor in Pyeongchang can immediately retrieve the files through a Web interface enabling efficient content contribution with comprehensive background information.
