Studio SWEAT and Studio SWEAT onDemand Partner with American Cancer Society

SANTEE, Calif. - Feb. 27, 2018 - PRLog -- Studio SWEAT and Studio SWEAT onDemand (SSoD) partnered with the American Cancer Society (ACS) to help accomplish their mission to free the world from cancer, driving the research the organization funds.

Studio SWEAT's brick and mortar fitness studio hosted a free 3-hour charity ride on Sunday, February 18, from 10:30am – 1:30pm in Rancho Bernardo, located in North San Diego county.  The event was streamed live for SSoD members and was also recorded and sent to the ACS for use at their annual 'Pedal to End Cancer' campaign.  The campaign kicks off on Sunday, March 4. ACS partner locations across the globe will be hosting events on throughout 2018 and will be streaming Studio SWEAT onDemand's pre-recorded video, while raising funds.

In addition to video production and sharing the workout video with the ACS, the Studio SWEAT and Studio SWEAT onDemand community joined forces to raise money for the cause. With nearly $2,700 donated, the team hopes to continue to raise funds and awareness for the continuing need to give to organizations such as the ACS.

"We come to the studio everyday and we always see the way we can change people's lives here in San Diego: helping them reach their fitness and personal goals," says Cat Kom, founder and head trainer at Studio SWEAT and SSoD. "But there is something more impactful when you can touch people all over the globe. We aim to do that with our SSoD program, and we aim to do that on an even more critical level with our partnership with the ACS."

The American Cancer Society is thrilled to be able to offer a chance for so many more to participate in the Pedal to End Cancer events thanks to Studio SWEAT onDemand donating this virtual option, and is hoping to raise $1 million in total through the Pedal to End Cancer campaign- with events happening between now and the end of 2018.
