GSEV Meeting 2018: MoBiTec to Represent HansaBioMed, Provider of Products for Research on Exosomes

The German Society for Extracellular Vesicles will be having its Annual Meeting on 1 and 2 March 2018 in Frankfurt. It will be a joint meeting with the IGLD.

The German Society for Extracellular Vesicles is the national network for scientists and professionals working in the field of exosomes, microvesicles and other cell-derived vesicles.

The goal is to promote extracellular vesicles research on all scientific levels and to support young academics within the field.

IGLD - Interdisziplinäre Gruppe für Labor und Durchflusszytometrie / Interdisciplinary Group for Laboratory and Flow Cytometry

With the aim of combining clinic, laboratory analysis, and science, the "Interdisciplinary Group for Laboratory and Flow Cytometry" was founded in 1995. IGLD immediately established the IGLD Annual Symposium which combines theory, applied practice, and clinical diagnostics or therapy. Over the last few years, this conference has evolved into a translational symposium bringing together specialists from a variety of disciplines, including laboratory medicine, transfusion medicine, hematology, and oncology, and basic researchers to discuss new developments in routine and adjacent research areas. The work of the IGLD and its organizers is voluntary and based exclusively on content. Since the conference is also aimed at young scientists and interested laboratory staff, this symposium is offered free of charge.

Exosome research is a novel field of biomedical research with implications in vaccines and cancer. The use of exosomes for assessment of functional state of parent cells in research is currently hampered by the lack of reliable and affordable tools.
