While touring they learned the basic beliefs of the Scientology religion and asked more in depth questions about Scientology. These questions included, "Do Scientologists believe in God?" and "Do Scientologists have other faiths in addition to Scientology?" As part of the tour the students also visited the six humanitarian centers supported by the Church of Scientology: Each of the centers they visited provided the students with brochures of about the programs. "I actually had a totally different idea of what Scientologists believed. I got things clarified. I didn't know that people can use Scientology and retain their religious own beliefs," said Amaris. Nicole said, "Thank you again for taking the time out of your day to give the group a tour, we all enjoyed it and are excited to read the books and watch the videos that were given to us! We all learned a lot about Scientology and all the good it provides throughout the world." "I find that most people are curious about Scientology and its beliefs and they enjoy being able to find out for themselves what it really is," said Amber Skjelset, Manager of the Scientology Information Center. The Scientology Information Center: The Scientology Information Center, located in the Historic Clearwater Building in downtown Clearwater, opened on July 11, 2015, and currently houses a gallery of audiovisual displays with some 400 videos. The Center is open to all provides a self-guided tour showing basic Scientology beliefs, Churches around the world, ongoing social programs and the life of L. Ron Hubbard, Scientology's founder. The Center offers tours to the broad public and civic leaders; holds concerts, theatrical performances and receptions for the community; and opens up the use of its conference room to social, civic and non-profit groups.
