MISSISSAUGA, Ontario - Feb. 20, 2018 - PRLog -- The Top 23 finalists have been selected for the sixth instalment of The Mompreneur® Awards brought to you by Mompreneur Showcase Group Inc.  Anticipation is building as recognition of this award in Canada's entrepreneurial and business communities grows. Each year a select group of women make it through the nomination process and move forth to the final stages; this year over 1,200 women were nominated or registered online at themompreneur.com/award, and 205 entrants advanced. After accumulating points based on support from over 90,000 public voters and 30,000 supporters, as well as impression ratings from a selection committee, the finalists were narrowed down.

Local Mompreneur Puja Misra of Zoom Into Life Photography  has been named a finalist by her peers and the business community. The task of determining who will win one of the four Awards being presented at this year's 2018 National Mompreneurs® Conference will now be left up to an expert panel of judges. The winner will be chosen based on a select set of criteria for each award including: track record of success; product innovation of business idea; growth potential and scalability; revenue; inspiration to others; and impact on the community.

Zoom Into Life Photography conceived by Puja Misra, is a premium boutique photography studio specializing in beauty makeovers, personal branding and headshots with a mission to empower women in the community and making them feel beautiful, confident & good enough inside out in both their personal and professional lives.

She decided to specialize in women's portraiture through her own personal journey where she realised that so many women around her did not feel beautiful or good about themselves and shied away from the camera, including herself. She chose to change this perception & make a difference in women's lives through her skills. Finalists will be scrutinized by an expert panel of respected judges, based on criteria such as innovation, commitment to community, sales growth, leadership, and scalability, in 4 award categories: Mompreneur Award of Excellence (exemplary product/service), Mompreneur Startup Award (for a business under 3 years), Mompreneur Award of Merit (for a consultant or franchisee), and the Mompreneurs "Momentum" Award (for a female-led non-profit, charity, or service-based business).

The 2018 Mompreneur® Awards presented by TruShield Insurance will be handed out at The 2018 National Mompreneurs® Conference taking place over 2 days during International Women's Day Week The conference will take place at the Toronto Congress Centre.
